Start with the dinner table, not the cable length

Choose the area you want to frame

Check the villa before agreeing a layout
If you are renting the villa, ask the owner or manager whether event lighting is permitted and which fixing points may be used. Do this before committing to a design. A wall, tree or pergola visible in a photograph is not automatically a suitable support.
Share the location of available power, access steps and any areas that must remain clear. Mention a swimming pool, irrigation or other features near the planned installation. Cable routes, supports and clearance need to be assessed for the venue, and decorative lighting should not be assumed to replace lighting needed for safe access.
Plan installation around the rest of the evening
Agree when the property will be accessible and when tables, catering and other decorations will arrive. Giving the installation its own place in the schedule avoids competing for the same space while the dinner is being prepared.
